Hi, I’m Jason! Since we first opened our doors in 2023, my goal for Innovation Eye Clinic has always been to create a space in Kitchener-Waterloo where eye care is attentive, unhurried, and where you always feel truly heard.
I believe that the best care comes from a combination of advanced technology and genuine connection. I stay deeply engaged in the evolving science of eye health, specifically in Dry Eye therapy, Myopia Control, and Ortho-K (Orthokeratology), ensuring that my patients benefit from modern, evidence-based treatments.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to a thoughtful, elevated approach that prioritizes your unique needs. As an advocate for patient education, I’m always happy to sit down and discuss the 'how' and 'why' of your eye health. I truly value the connections I build with my patients and welcome any questions you may have.
While I am not at the clinic, you can find me playing pickleball, soccer, or volleyball. I’m also an avid board game fan and love stopping by J&J Collectibles to see what’s new on the shelves.

In my spare time, I enjoy sleeping, skating, and smothering my pets with love.

If I'm not at work or sleeping, you'll find me on the ice working on my jumps and spins! I could figure skate for hours.
I've taught my cats, Timbit and Maverick, over 12 tricks and they get daily pet puzzles to keep their minds stimulated and out of trouble.
I have years of experience working in surgery and rehabilitative medicine- for the longest time I wanted to be a vet!
I was a research associate at the University of Guelph studying Lyme Disease.

Hello, I’m Mikael, and I’m excited to meet you! I’m currently an Honours Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Waterloo with a strong interest in eye care.
As an Eyewear Stylist and Optometric Assistant at Innovation Eye Clinic, I enjoy helping create a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. I’m passionate about vision health and aspire to become an optometrist in the future.
