  • Hi there! I'm Jason, and I’m so excited to bring Innovation Eye Clinic to the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Taking care of my patients is at the heart of everything I do and my goal is to bring a thoughtful, personalized, and elevated approach to eye care. My passion for helping and connecting with patients is reflected by the quality, attention, and care I provide to every one of my patients.

As a huge advocate for patient education, I encourage you to ask me any questions about your vision and eye health.

I love about anything and everything that has to do with dry eye management, myopia control (nearsightedness), and Ortho-K fittings. I like to nerd out with the evolving research and technologies in these areas so I can bring the most effective treatments to my patients.

During my spare time, you can find me playing disc golf, soccer, or looking for a new board game at J&J Collectibles.

Hello, I'm Emily and I can't wait to meet you!

I want you to walk out of our clinic feeling confident and seeing better than ever.

Prior to optometry, I was a research associate at the University of Guelph. This position allowed me to refine my ability to recognize small changes and subtle details. To me, shopping for frames isn’t just about the style or colour- I look for designs and tones that not only sits nicely on your face, but compliments your features as well. My goal is to ensure you absolutely love your new frames and make your shopping experience painless and enjoyable. So sit back, relax and leave the little details to me!

Whether you are looking for something that complements your everyday life, are into bold and colourful sunglasses, or want to purchase a pair of handcrafted frames, know that I am dedicated to helping you find your perfect pair. (It’s the best part of my job!)

In my spare time, I like to sleep, skate and smother my pets with love!

  • Favourite restaurants in KW:

271 West, Kinkaku izakaya, Blaze Pizza, and Bubble Tea … from anywhere!

    Movies/TV:

    WandaVision, Lucifer and The Mandalorian

  • If I'm not at work or sleeping, you'll find me on the ice working on my jumps and spins! I could figure skate for hours.

I've taught my cats, Timbit and Maverick, over 12 tricks and they get daily pet puzzles to keep their minds stimulated and out of trouble.

I have years of experience working in surgery and rehabilitative medicine- for the longest time I wanted to be a vet!

I was a research associate at the University of Guelph studying Lyme Disease.

  • Eyewear Stylist and Optometric Assistant

Hello, I’m Shaza and I’m thrilled you’re here!

I recently graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelors of Science and hope to pursue a career in optometry.

There’s more than meets the eye to optometry, and as an optometric assistant and eyewear stylist, I learn more about this fascinating field each day! The only thing that outweighs my passion for learning about this field is sharing it.

Whether it’s preparing you for your eye exam or helping you pick out the perfect frames, there’s nothing I love more than guiding you through the entire experience!

  • Favourite restaurants:

    Turkish Flames, 168 Sushi

    Favourite movies/TV shows:

Shutter Island, The Haunting of Hill House…basically anything scary!

  • I love taking pictures on old film cameras! I have a collection of them and am always on the lookout for more.

I used to write for the Science & Tech section of my university’s newspaper. I got to cover the latest scientific discoveries in areas like microbiology, psychology and optometry!

I love spending time in my garden where I grow peppers, herbs and a variety of flowers each year!

We take your eye care to the next level.
